When we were children, many of us were taken to the local shoe shop to have our feet measured before buying a new pair of shoes. Clarks, Startrite and similar brands were often part of that experience.

But when was the last time your feet were properly measured?

And do your shoes actually fit?

At Sweetmore & Firth, we’re introducing our new Footwear Fitting Service — helping you find well-fitting, supportive footwear that works for your individual feet.

A professional approach to finding the right fit

As part of the service, I will measure your feet for length and width, helping to establish the most appropriate shoe size and fit for you.

We then work with a carefully selected footwear brand, choosing styles that are suitable for your feet and your needs. Once your shoes arrive, you’ll have a dedicated fitting appointment where we can make sure they are the right fit before you take them home.

And if the shoes aren't quite right, we take care of arranging the return.

It takes the guesswork out of buying footwear.

Everyone deserves happy feet

Not everyone needs a fully orthopaedic or bespoke shoe.

Sometimes, what you need is a well-fitting, good-quality shoe combined with the right insole.

Having completed my professional shoe fitting course and worked closely with a brilliant footwear brand, I’m pleased to be able to offer this service as a middle ground between standard high-street footwear and completely bespoke orthopaedic shoes.

The footwear we use can also be paired with our bespoke and prescription insoles, giving you another option for supporting your feet without necessarily needing a fully orthopaedic shoe.
